How did I get here?

A therapist changed my life and sparked Hope in me that I still carry with me to this day. Hope that impassioned me to give to others what was gifted to me: the feeling of truly being seen and the power to heal wounds I did not choose.

Education

I got my Bachelor of Social work from the University of Mississippi, my Master’s of Social Work from the University of Oklahoma and lots of clinical supervision to earn my LCSW.  I sought out supplemental training in EMDR and IFS.  Both, modalities that are shown to be quickly effective and modalities that have been effective for me in my own personal work. Click here for more insight on EMDR and IFS.

My Ideal Client

My clients would describe me as a compassionate, direct, and curious therapist, and perhaps, a bit casual.  I enjoy working with adults who are cycle breakers, parents who are trying their hardest to do it different, and those who are going through life transitions. I also enjoy working with people that “don’t fit the mold”.

My Humanness

I enjoy reading Romantasy, crafting new things, rewatching New Girl and Parks and Rec, and Mommin’.  I like going outside when it's not sticky and if I had a co-worker, it would be coffee. I’m neurodivergent, a trauma survivor, and it is my greatest honor to help others thrive.

You Belong Here

I prioritize creating a welcoming space for people of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, genders, and religions.
I am also always open to gentle correction if I veer off the path.  You know you best!

"Trauma creates change you don’t choose.

Healing is about creating change you do choose."

Why Sea Glass?

Sea glass is created from broken pieces of glass, such as bottles or jars, that are tumbled and smoothed by the waves, sand, and rocks over many years. This natural process rounds off sharp edges and gives the glass a frosted, polished appearance.

Similarly, therapy involves a process of transformation. Just as sea glass is shaped and refined by the ocean, individuals in therapy are guided through their experiences, gradually smoothing out the rough edges of their emotions and thoughts. Over time, this process helps them to heal and discover their more authentic, resilient self. Both sea glass and therapy demonstrate how time and consistent effort can turn something fragmented into something beautiful and unique.
